Vendor Meet Please join us on February 15th from 12:30pm - 4pm at the Joliet Campus Conference Center Rooms EMS 1 and 2 just below the ER for a vendor meet about EMS bags. Stat Pack and Meret will have all their bags on display for demo. This is a great hands on opportunity if an agency is considering up-grading or changing their bags. Meret will be there at 1pm and Stat Pack at 2:30. Please stop by if you're interested.
Severe Weather Spotter Training The Will County Emergency Management Agency will be sponsoring a Severe Weather Spotter Training seminar instructed by the National Weather Service on several dates coming soon: February 28 in Channahon, March 6 in New Lenox, March 22 in Wilmington, and March 27 in Crete. Silver Cross EMS Paramedic Education Program ~ Attend Lectures for CE You may attend any of the following lectures for Continuing Education hours. Class time: 6pm-10pm Tuesday and Thursday. Make sure that you bring your CME Blue Book or a CE Sheet for the Instructor to sign as verification. Autism Class (Link to site) The purpose of this course is to assist you in developing your repertoire of techniques used to identify, rescue, triage, and treat victims of an emergency situation, especially those who may be suffering from Autism Spectrum Disorders. What is Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Why can knowledge of this disorder be important to an emergency responder? During this course, we will attempt to answer these questions and more so that you can more effectively respond to victims who have a special need. Contact Hours: Four (4)
